Product design and 3D visualization for Vericom and NovaTracker, sister companies within the same GPS and wireless tracking portfolio. Work spanned hardware rendering, branding, and technical documentation — including the NovaTracker logo and identity, product renderings built in 3DS Max, and sales/spec collateral. This family of companies also included GuardTrax, a handheld personnel-tracking device, where a separate producer role — coordinating industrial design, overseas manufacturing, and vendor sourcing — is detailed further below.

Producing the GuardTrax Enclosure

While the enclosure's industrial design and 3D illustration were the work of my designer, Matthew Staples, I ran the program that got it built — sourcing and vetting injection molding partners in Shenzhen and Chico, California, selecting FDM rapid-prototyping vendors before moving to a higher-resolution prototyping partner, and producing the screen-printing film positives myself for the enclosure and button panel. I coordinated between Matthew and the engineering team in Cranford, NJ, and secured a training budget so he could strengthen his 3D skills mid-project. Later, when a subsequent redesign effort fell short of resolving the unit's outstanding issues, I returned to lead a new enclosure design that got the product back on track.
GuardTrax was later deployed by school districts for truancy monitoring, drawing national news coverage, including a segment on Fox News.
